Congrats to YTICC 2014 Winner  - Melody Beck!

Your Theatrics International Cabaret Contest (YTICC) 2014 winner Melody Beck recently concluded the international tour of her newly devised solo show this October at the Ballarat Cabaret Festival.

This biopic cabaret, based on the life and incredible career of singer Marni Nixon, took audiences on a stroll down memory lane. Having dubbed the singing voice of luminaries including Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Rita Moreno and Deborah Kerr, Nixon became one of the most remembered but unknown voices of the golden age of movies, whose dulcet tones memorialize some of the greatest music theatre tunes of our time.

Congratulations again on a wonderful show, Melody!

Meeting the Ghostess with the Mostess!
As part of her prize, Melody traveled to seven different cities telling the story of Marni Nixon...she never imagined she would actually get to meet THE Marni Nixon!
YTICC Producers arranged for Ms Beck to interview Ms Nixon by phone while she was writing her show in the lead up to her tour. She was then lucky enough to spend an afternoon with her idol in NYC, discussing Ms Nixon's life and career.
